Nidul Sinha is born in Tripura, India, in 1962. He received the B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Calcutta University, Calcutta, India, in 1984, and the M. Tech. degree in Power Apparatus and Systems from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, in 1989. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. His Ph.D. thesis was on “Application of Intelligent Techniques in Optimal Operation of Power System”. Since then he has been engaged in active research in different areas like automatic generation control, optimal operation of power system under conventional as well as non-conventional environment, control of renewable energy sources and micro-grid, image de-noising, video motion estimation, EEG based emotion detection, silent speech reading. He has more 100 national and international publications in diverse fields. He has been conferred with the senior membership of IEEE in 2008. He has successfully completed four sponsored R & D projects. Further, he has been the reviewer of number of international journals; IEEE, IET, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, and Springer etc.

Rajdeep Ghosh received M. Tech. degree from Assam University Silchar in 2014. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from National Institute of Technology Silchar, India. His Ph.D. thesis was on “Some Studies On Silent Speech Recognition From Brain Waves” under the supervision of Prof. Nidul Sinha. His research interests include brain computer interface, machine learning, soft computing, and quantum computing.

Souvik Phadikar is born in West Bengal, India, in 1993. He received the B. Tech degree in electronics and communication engineering from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT)), West Bengal, India in 2015, and M. Tech degree in signal processing from WBUT, West Bengal, India in 2017. He is now a research scholar in National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam, India and working on Brain signal processing. His research areas are signal processing, neural network, optimization, Machine Learning etc.

Md. Zaved Iqubal Ahmed received his B.Tech. degree in Information Technology from the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, India in 2013. He was involved in the research project titled ‘‘QoS Provisioning in WiFi-based Long Distance Wireless Networks for Hilly Terrain Rural Areas’’ as a Junior Research Fellow in Department of IT, NEHU, Shillong. He received his M.Tech. degree from Tezpur University, Assam in 2016. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D from National Institute of Technology, Silchar. His research interests are Human-Machine Interaction, Artificial Intelligence.
